Well, this one has been a journey! Returning to all things Faerie, I was intrigued to see what was next for Feyre (no spoilers here). Unfortunately, I found the first third of the book slow, clichéd and a bit repetitive (at least there was no mention of watery bowels this time round), and I didn’t really like Feyre too much. However, Maas’ writing seems to speed up and become much more interesting as the plot develops, and it wasn’t just the more romantic episodes that gripped me in the end.

The twist in this novel is fantastic and I didn’t see it coming- another way that Maas will further take my money. I need to know more!

I’m going to have a one book break from the fantasy genre, but in the end, I did enjoy this offering.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me this time.
