I had a strong urge to read a lovely festive book to get me in the spirit of Christmas The Night I Met Father Christmas did not disappoint.
One thing I wish I had explicitly known from the beginning, is that this is an intentional homage to A Christmas Carol- it was only after getting annoyed by the plot similarities that I conducted some research to find that it wasn’t simply a rip off…
In essence, the novel is a very sweet Children’s book about a young boy called Jackson who has the pleasure of meeting, and spending Christmas Eve with the big man himself.
During the evening, FC tells Jackson all about how he became Father Christmas. It’s a charming and heartwarming story. Sweet and festive!
I’m giving this a solid 🌟🌟🌟🌟. Passing it to my son to enjoy next!
