The Messy Reader verdict

A cosy festive romance that is sweet, familiar and satisfying

Reviewed 7 December 2025 messyreaderby messyreader Spoiler free

All I Want for Christmas is a warm, festive read that delivered exactly what I wanted from a cosy holiday romance. I especially enjoyed the Nashville setting; those musical references and the industry details added a fun, atmospheric touch that made the story feel lively and grounded.

Max and Sadie were easy to root for from the start. Their connection had charm, and even though the plot followed a very comfortable predictable path, that was part of its appeal. Sometimes a Christmas romance is meant to be exactly that: sweet, familiar and satisfying.

Overall, it's an enjoyable, feel-good read perfect for the festive season... nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a good time.
