Messy Reader is an independent UK book-review website run by Alison. Privacy questions can be sent through the contact page.

If you create an account, comment, join a book-club discussion, place an order or contact us, we process the details needed to provide that service. This can include your display name, email address, profile image, message content and order details. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be read by the site owner.
Technical information
The hosting service may record IP addresses, browser details and request logs for security and reliability. Essential browser storage is used for login sessions, shopping baskets, theme preferences and web-app behaviour.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose “Accept analytics”. It helps show which pages are useful and how the site is used. You can decline it and continue to use the site normally.
