Katy Brent's How to Kill Men and Get Away With It is a darkly funny, blood-soaked romp that had me hooked from the start. Social media influencer by day, avenging vigilante by night, Kitty Collins is a protagonist like no other, sharp, ruthless, and wickedly entertaining. I quite enjoyed her murderous ways, and the satirical tone made the book all the more enjoyable.
While the kills started to feel a bit repetitive as the story progressed, I appreciated the overarching feminist themes woven throughout. Brent cleverly balances dark humour with commentary on misogyny and justice, making this more than just a revenge fantasy. A fun, fast-paced read for fans of morally grey heroines and dark comedy!
