The level of detail in the NASA research is incredible; I felt completely immersed in the world of early space exploration. But it was the relationship between Joan and Vanessa that truly stole the show. Their bond is complex, tender, and unforgettable. Reid has such a talent for writing women with depth and nuance, and this book is no exception. Once again, she delivers a powerful, emotionally rich story that lingers long after the final page. Yet again, another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ novel from Reid.
