Her expressive reading makes it easy to get lost in the world of Misselthwaite Manor and the blossoming garden beyond.
That said, it's important to acknowledge that the book reflects the attitudes of its time, including instances of racism and colonialist perspectives, particularly in the way India and its people are described. These aspects can feel uncomfortable to a modern audience, but they also offer an opportunity for discussion about historical context and how literature evolves.
